Bluegrass greener on the other side of the fence?

McConnell/Lunsford in Kentucky

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is in a fight. Real Clear Politics rates the race a toss up, and McConnell’s Web site lists polling place locations across the state and urges people to “invite five friends to get out the vote for Mitch.” Dubiously drew a zero rating from the LCV in 2003. The counterbalance to McConnell’s consummate insider resume is non-politician Bruce Lunsford, who hopes to expand oil drilling to ANWR and work to make mountaintop removal in coal-rich Kentucky more environmentally friendly.
